Power Distribution Panel

Power Distribution Panel also known as a distribution board, breaker panel, or PDB is a centralized hub in an electrical system that receives power from a primary source and divides it into multiple subsidiary circuits.

Material Specification

§  Material:
2.0mm CRCA sheet steel for main structures and 1.6mm for doors/covers.

§  Switchgear:
Includes Air Circuit Breakers (ACB) for main incomers and Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB) or Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB) for outgoing feeders.

§  Monitoring:
Digital Multi-Function Meters (MFM) for real-time tracking of Voltage, Current, Power Factor, and kW.

§  Busbars:
High-conductivity Electrolytic Grade Aluminium or Copper busbars, usually color-coded (RYB-N) with heat-shrinkable PVC sleeves.

Design Features

§  Smart Monitoring:
Integration of digital Multi-Function Meters (MFM) and IoT-enabled gateways for real-time tracking of voltage, power factor, energy consumption, and predictive maintenance.

§  Safety Interlocks:
Both mechanical and electrical interlocking for Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs) to prevent accidental rack-out while the system is live.

§  Modular Design:
Fully bolted, compartmentalized structures (up to Form 4b) allow for easy expansion, maintenance, and safe internal separation of busbars and functional units.

§  Auto-Load Management:
Systems often include logic for Automatic Mains Failure (AMF) to smoothly transition between grid power and DG sets within 30 seconds.
